Hi

  My name is Kate I am in Mr. Fisher’s class. I am 12 years old and am in grade 7/8. I have two sisters my mom my dad and a dog named happy. Our classroom is the first one through the lower doors. We are lucky because we have a couch in our room. Its orange and falling apart. Right now it is -18^oC and yesterday it was -28^oC! That’s cold! Our school has around 150-170 kids from grades k-12. Our town has about 700 people in our community including kids! Yes it’s a small town.

My top three concerns are:

1. Smoking – smoking kills millions, so why smoke? For every cigar you have you die 7   minuets sooner then you would normally. The people who smoke most are teenage girls mostly by pressure. Smoking is gross, just think of what you’re doing to your body! Even if you’re not the one smoking but you’re around a smoker your still getting second hand smoke. Think about it. It’s like paying someone to kill you.

1. Drinking – again, what is the point of drinking. It’s poisoning your body and gets you sick the next day. Drinking is a major problem because it makes people do stupid things like violence, drugs, rape, and may even drink and drive. They could die from being drunk and even hurt innocent people. For example, my friend’s dad was drunk and got on the back of a motorcycle. He wasn’t the one driving but he died and the guy who was driving only had a few broken bones. It was stupid to drink in the first place but now he’s dead that decision changed his life dramatically.

1. Global Warming – Global Warming is a major problem because it is killing our ecosystem and melting ice caps. Its destroying habitats for animals and people. It’s causing floods and stronger storms all because of people not recycling and people polluting the atmosphere. It’s not good news but we are slowly boiling ourselves and eventually we’ll realize it and it would be to late to stop it.

  Hey what’s up?

I have no idea what to write about so I’ll just write any thing. I like the movie step up its my favorite movie of all time! I only saw it once and I loved it! I also like salad especially Cesar salad. I don’t eat burgers of any kind because of the bacteria in them. I also can’t eat McDonalds. We are working on the renaissance time I think I am going to do my essay on the Leonardo da Vinci and my project on art. For those who don’t know Leonardo da Vinci is the guy who painted the Mona Lisa. I chose Leonardo because he is a well-known painter and his work is amazing epically since it was back when businesses were just starting and it was only the beginning of change in time. I like this project because I think it would be very educational and somehow fun! It will be an interesting subject to write about.

Taryn and Me.

  OMG me and my best friend Taryn just had the best snowball fight ever! I am soaked but it was fun. We played tic-tac-toe she’ll say I lost but I soooo won. She is making me so mad because she is keeping a really ugly picture of me! Also she is taking pictures of me while I am typing literally haha. Now we are watching family guy clips they are HILARIOUS!! Click here to watch them. We were watching them for over 3 hours! Wow we’re lame. Taryn is from Winnipeg and she is my hero. Haha I’ve been working in this post for like 5 hours! Ok bye.
