In class we have our own PLN’s (personal learning network) it’s really cool because I can subscribe to different blogs all around the world. Right now I am subscribing to places in China! It’s really cool. The site is called bloglines I think you should get an account it’s real easy and you can subscribe to any thing. Weather its people you know or people across the world you can see what they are writing. Your account is updated every time someone you are subscribing to wrights something new. When I subscribe to a blog I am looking for originality, content, subject, name and appearance. For example if their name has bad words or something in it then nobody will read it. To get more subscribers I would pick an appropriate name and I would pick good topics to write about.
My favorite thing about the PLN is that you get to hear about new places and what’s going on there. I also like how you can delete the people if you don’t like the posts that they wrote.

In class we are talking about photography and what good pictures are and what bad pitchers. I think a good picture is all about the colour lines and the shape of the object that you are taking a picture of. I think a bad picture is something like

I think this is a bad picture because it is blurry and it doesn’t have good couloures well that’s only my opinion.
And I think a good picture is something like this: 
I think this is a good picture because it has a good topic and I like the colours.
Everyone has their own opinion and everything is different for different people.

Today in class we had to draw a mood in a visual text. It is very hard. Why? Because you can’t draw a picture! Say you were doing happy you can’t draw someone jumping rope with a smile on there face. For example I’ll do anger I would use jagged lines and colours like black and red. You can have different kinds of visual text though. There’s
- drawing
- painting
- photos
- videos
And more for all of these texts you need different things like
- shape
- lines
- colours
To make the visual text better you can use examples or you can compare it to written text. I liked this assigment because it made me think about how art doesn’t have to be of a real thing and it can be of a blur of colours that tell you something.

In school we were asked “What is text? If text is a painting, a picture, a TV show, words in a text book tell me what is text.”
And it is the hardest question I have ever been asked. The same goes for reading and writing. You can read a picture so what is reading? You can write a picture then what is writing? It is so hard to figure it out it’s frustrating! If you think about it though it is saying that text can be any thing that tells you something. Reading is the act of understanding a text and writing can be any thing that tries to send a message out to the reader.

Hi,
All I did all summer was sit around on the internet. It was so boring i couldn’t wait until school witch is very unlike me. Usually I can’t wait to be out of school! Not this year, in my opinion I have the coolest teacher in the school. He is very nice. But if someone farts they have to 20 pushups!! He is a huge geek though. He loves computers that’s pretty much it.

The first three days of school were great, I had so much fun. My favourite parts of school so far are not getting as much homework as I did last year. I also like that I can reach the top of the lockers because I am so short and these lockers aren’t as high as the ones last year! I am doing way better at orginization then I did last year. The math is easy same with social studies and E.L.A. but on the other hand we are just beginning. I like the idea of writing blogs. My big sister didn’t like it very much last year but I am pretty much the oppite of her. We are learning about diffrent socities in school wether its ancient or modern.Have a good weekend!
